It is the expressed mission of the Calvary Baptist Church
Educational Development Ministry to provide the members of Calvary Baptist Church with clear
and defined criteria for educational funding and to administer the distribution of awards.
The awards are designed to serve three categories of educational pursuits:
I. Students who are recent high school graduates
or have received a high school equivalency degree and are pursuing a college, technical or
vocational degree within one year of high school graduation or receipt of a high school
equivalency degree.
II. Currently matriculating undergraduate college, technical
or vocational students with financial need; and
III. Adult continuing education students, which is
defined as students pursuing a degree or certification but do not qualify for Category I
or II funding as described above. Click here to get a copy of the Continuing Educational Application.
The award criteria will include consistent church attendance, involvement in ministry
activities and completion and submission of the educational funding application. Click here to get a copy of the Educational Funding Application.
Ministry meetings are held monthly beginning in September of each year through June of
the following year. Our vision is to develop a comprehensive scholarship program to
support the growing higher education needs of Calvary Baptist Church. The Program will
involve support from all ministries of Calvary Baptist Church and the general
congregation, through tithes and offerings, establishment of endowments and annual
scholarships.
